For those of us who want a bumper but are aware of the potential safety hazards posed by one, the recommendation is to get one that is thin, fits properly, and has many ties on both top and bottom of the bumper to secure it to the sides of the crib with as little space as possible. This one is organic cotton, a plus, and is the right weight — thin. However is only has 6 ties and none on the bottom. I sewed extra ties on to make mine as safe as possible. But make sure you check the number of ties and that they are on both the top and bottom whatever bumper you buy.
